My husband and daughter went to Prom 73 – Franz Welser-Möst conducting the Vienna Philharmonic in Haydn’s Symphony no. 98 and Schubert’s Great C major symphony. They enjoyed themselves, though both they and I (who listened on radio) felt that the brass got a little over-enthusiastic on occasion.
