This blog is about my singing and musical life, mostly in South West England. It contains concert\/opera reviews, accounts of some performances I have taken part in (many of these are services sung in Cathedrals by visiting choirs) and articles on other miscellaneous musical topics.<\/p>\n
I don’t write reviews of performances I’ve taken part in, or critical comments about choirs and organisations I’m currently connected with. There is a considerable amount of other self-censorship on these pages – if you want to hear about some of what I withhold, you will have to speak to me in person over a meal or a drink! I am trying to record here the interesting opportunities and extensive repertoire I experience, and leave out the repetitive or dull bits, without wanting to sound like an agent.<\/p>\n
N.B. I can take up to a month or so to write about a particular event, as I like to reflect on what I want to record about it, also I can get busy! So my entry about it may appear on a different month page from the month in which it took place.<\/p>\n
